Jen Jabas

Executive Director

Jen is the Executive Director of United Way Lakes and Prairie and has been leading the team since January 2016. Jen is responsible for overall management, strategy, and operations, ensuring that the organization operates efficiently and effectively. She has approximately 20 years of experience working in the non-profit sector and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Sociology and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Jen is passionate about serving her community and is dedicated to fulfilling the mission and vision of United Way. In her free time, Jen loves to spend time with her husband and their two sons. They enjoy the outdoors through hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time on the lake.

Maria Haug

Accountant & Office Manager

Maria has been our Accountant and Office Manager for almost 15 years. In this role, Maria accounts for donations and dollars raised and helps keep our team on-track. Outside of work Maria enjoys spending time with family, exploring new travel adventures, being outdoors and hitting the beach!

Rachel Wise

Impact and Engagement Manager

Rachel is leading our Impact and Engagement initiatives.  That means she's organizing our programming and working with volunteers and community partners to ensure we are delivering on the impact goals we are set out to accomplish! 

Cassie Evjen

Administrative Support Assistant

Administrative Support Assistant, Cassie joined the United Way team in 2023. She has 20 years of experience working in various non-profit organizations professionally and in volunteer roles. In her free time Cassie likes to spend her time with her husband, three children and schnoodle. Cassie enjoys crafting, baking, planting flowers and spending time out on the lakes.

Board Of Directors

Our Board of Directors is made up of professionals across our service region. Each member serves a three year term. Board members have the opportunity to serve two consecutive terms.
